WMB created a plastic mold of the exterior of leaded terminal component to remain in the machine when production was inactive.
Outcome:
This decreased rejections and the time needed to cut out the leaded part from plastic overlay; improved overall manufacturing process, and saved thousands of dollars per daily manufacturing cycle of automotive batteries.
